Jones Edmunds is an industry leader in application development for GIS.  Along with the design of standalone applications, custom utilities have been weaved throughout nearly all of our GIS projects.  Whether it be a tool in our custom “Jones Edmunds Tool Bar” used for everyday GIS analysis or an application created to enhance the speed, productivity, consistency, and accuracy of a specific project, Jones Edmunds is finding application development not only convenient but a necessity in today’s ever-changing GIS environment.

Visual Basic and .NET
Jones Edmunds has extensive experience developing and implementing Visual Basic (VB) 6.0 and .NET applications.  We routinely develop these applications in support of our GIS and database management needs. Jones Edmunds is a subscriber to the ESRI Developer Network (EDN), which allows the GIS programmers to develop prototype applications as server products (ArcEngine, ArcSDE, ArcIMS and ArcGIS Server). Among the most recently implemented EDN prototypes are collection of Pavement Management Unit information for St Johns County (ArcEngine) and debris management for FDOT (ArcPad and wireless communication with an ArcIMS/ArcSDE server).

ArcSDE, SQL and Oracle
Jones Edmunds has more than 8 years experience working with the ArcSDE, SQL, and Oracle software.  We can develop applications and provide support for any RDBMS geodatabase in any stage of its life cycle.  We work with our clients throughout database design and implementation process to ensure they understand what we are doing, why we are doing it, and how to maintain the geodatabases in the future.  We have provided application development, database design, implementation, integration, training, and performance analysis services for ArcSDE for a wide range of our clients.
