Facilities

The Jones Edmunds Facilities Team offers expert project management as well as engineering services and solutions for a wide variety of facility types, including governmental, utility, military, commercial, institutional, and manufacturing.

Our Team conducts a complete analysis of project requirements with each client to construct a well-defined project scope and to ensure a solid foundation for project planning and implementation. Our LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) professionals help optimize site designs for energy efficiency. We integrate Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to help our clients with facilities planning, construction, and operations.

We are an active member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and demonstrate leadership in sustainability including design and construction of facilities certified by the LEED green building certification program for the growing number of federal, state, and local organizations embracing sustainable design initiatives. LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system developed by the USGBC to provide third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality,

In addition, Jones Edmunds has provided study, design, and construction-phase engineering services for the demolition of facilities and structures, including at federal sites such as Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Some examples of demolition designs are Space Shuttle Launch Pad LC-39B, Vertical Processing Facility, Central Heat Plant and hot water distribution system, Hypergol Module Storage Facilities, Propellants Lab, High Pressure Gas Facility, Spacecraft Assembly and Encapsulation Facility, Hangar L, Hangar S Annexes, LC-34 Engineering Support Building, Mission Control Center, LC-34 Fire Station, and many trailers and boxcar complexes.

Our engineering services have included environmental testing and assessing for heavy metals, PCBs, hazardous wastes, controlled wastes, and asbestos; designing to disconnect, isolate, and remove systems such as fluids, gases, power, and communications; and structural as-built and facility investigations that allowed contractors to determine the costs, means, and methods of demolition.

Through partnerships with trusted architectural and mechanical firms with whom we have a solid record of successful projects, our Team can provide full-service facilities capabilities to deliver projects on time and within budget.
