Sarasota, Florida (February 17, 2009) – The Florida-based engineering and consulting firm Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc. recently opened an office in Sarasota to help expand its services in Southwest Florida.

The office is in the Northwood Business Park at 5104 N. Lockwood Ridge Rd, Suite 101, Sarasota, Florida 34234.

“We have done a significant amount of work with clients in Southwest Florida over the past several years, and our increased local presence should help strengthen our long-standing relationships with these clients,” Ken Vogel, P.E., Jones Edmunds Chief Marketing Officer, said.

The Sarasota office will be the fifth office for Jones Edmunds.  The company currently has offices in Tampa, Gainesville (corporate headquarters), Jacksonville, and Titusville.  The office will provide municipal engineering services to Southwest Florida clients while coordinating with staff from the firm’s other four offices to draw on the combined expertise of the firm’s employees.

James McLellan, P.E., will leave his position as the Company’s Jacksonville office manager to serve as a Senior Project Manager in the new office. 

“I am excited to be part of establishing our new office,” McLellan said.  “We look forward to growing with Southwest Florida and continued success with our existing relationships in the area.”
