Jones Edmunds Hires Facilities Expert to Serve Government Clients

Titusville, Florida (March 11, 2010)—Mr. John Schmidt recently joined the Titusville Office of Florida-based engineering consulting firm Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc. as a Department Manager in Facilities Engineering.

 

Mr. Schmidt is experienced in all stages of project development from programming to design, construction, and move-in for large, institutional environments including government entities. Mr. Schmidt’s career has included developing high-technology projects for NASA and developing healthcare and research facilities, including patient care areas and new laboratories for processing blood and marrow products and expanding cancer research, for the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. At NASA Mr. Schmidt served as Lead Design Engineer and Project Manager for facilities design and construction of launch support, payload support, and institutional facilities at Kennedy Space Center. In addition to his proven record of accomplishment in bringing projects to successful completion, he has a strong technical background and full understanding of project management, construction, and business systems. 

 

In his role as Facilities Engineering Department Manager, Mr. Schmidt leads a group that provides integrated facilities design resources for Jones Edmunds for standalone facility projects and supports civil and environmental projects throughout the Company. His project management and facilities development expertise will be critical to Jones Edmunds’ focus on providing facilities design services to federal, state, and municipal governments.

Mr. Schmidt received his BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami and his Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Central Florida. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Texas and Florida.
