Titusville, Florida (March 18, 2010)— Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc. has been awarded NASA’s Continuing Civil/Environmental Engineering Services contract for a fourth term in a row, allowing Jones Edmunds to continue serving as NASA’s On-Board A/E Firm for the next 5 years. Jones Edmunds’ relationship with NASA started 18 years ago with the award of several civil and environmental projects. For the past 13 years Jones Edmunds has served as NASA-Kennedy Space Center’s onboard A/E firm for civil and environmental engineering.

Under this new contract Jones Edmunds will continue to provide civil and environmental design, engineering, and other professional services at NASA's Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, and overseas emergency space shuttle landing sites. The work will rehabilitate, modernize, or provide new facilities and systems at these locations. This new 5-year contract begins in March 2010 with a maximum potential value of approximately $25 million.

Jones Edmunds will provide designs for sewage treatment facilities, repairing and developing roads and parking facilities, new and reconfigured structures and facilities, building envelopes, interior finishes, and site development. The work includes designing stormwater management and utilities as well as facility equipment to process and condition hazardous and industrial waste products. Additional work includes HVAC and plumbing, industrial and institutional electrical systems, grounding, lighting, lightning protection, fire alarm and detection systems, and construction management.
