Congratulations to our 2020 Leadership Development Class! On October 29, Associates Tom Blush, Jarrod Hirneise, Danny Inkell, Jesse Salazar, Peter Simms, and David Yonge attended the final session of the Jones Edmunds/JEACES 9th annual Leadership Development Program. Each year, Associates are selected based on their aptitude for leadership roles and responsibilities. The program reinforces servant leadership, promotes performance expectations, and cultivates behaviors consistent with our values of integrity, knowledge, and service.
This year’s class completed a nine-month program, which after only one kick-off meeting in person at a local escape room (where unfortunately they were unable to save us from a global pandemic…really), had to be conducted exclusively in a virtual format for the remainder of the year. They became known as the “Brady Bunch” Class. Tom Blush remarked that, “The pandemic certainly threw us all a curveball this year. Switching the program to the virtual format early on took some adjustment, however we were able to adapt many of the lessons to fit ‘the new normal’. For example, nonverbal communication in a digital environment became a significant part of the communication discussions.”
Tom described his appreciation for learning more about leadership and effective communication. “I am thankful for the opportunity to have participated in the 2020 Leadership Development program. The course taught me a lot about my leadership style and preferences. One of the biggest takeaways for me was learning how to be a skilled communicator. Whether interacting with clients, colleagues, or family, effective communication is paramount.”
Congratulations to this year’s class on their accomplishments. Jones Edmunds and JEACES appreciates the time, dedication, hard work, and especially the adaptability this group invested into completing the Leadership Development Program.
