“Negotiating the New Normal” was the theme at this year’s Florida Section American Water Works Association’s (FSAWWA) annual conference. The event was well attended by our associates and our clients. The event provided a great opportunity to learn from the utility industry’s best through technical sessions, workshops, and networking.
The conference Technical Sessions included two Jones Edmunds associates presenting for the first time. Christopher Makransky, EI presented on “Water Quality Considerations for Customers and Utilities amidst COVID Re-openings.” Sean Menard, PE, CDT, ENV SP presented on “Monochloramine Disinfection for Alternative Water Supply.” Sean commented, “It was a pleasure to serve and grow in knowledge at this year’s FSAWWA Fall Conference. This was also my first time presenting at a conference. It went fantastically and I know that is due to the amazing support from my peers that I received in the practice and preparation. These were all great examples of our company’s unrivaled service to each other.” Congratulations Chris and Sean on a remarkable accomplishment, your hard work and diligence have certainly paid off.
One of the conferences highlights is competing in the BBQ competition. This year, the Jones Edmunds, Charlotte County, and Alpha General Services, Inc. team won three trophies, including first place for People’s Choice! Lloyd Eason, Utilities and Field Supervisor for Charlotte County Utilities, said, “this was the best cook off ever.” Congratulations to the team for a well-deserved win.
