Jones Edmunds is pleased to announce that we have been approved to participate as a mentor to Drummond Carpenter, PLLC in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP). NASA’s MPP is dedicated to helping develop the agency’s small business supplier base. As a participant in the NASA MPP, Jones Edmunds and Drummond Carpenter are committed through a 24-month agreement focused on building a successful business relationship that benefit Jones Edmunds, Drummond Carpenter, and NASA.
Jones Edmunds is a NASA-approved mentor and has served NASA for nearly 30 years including service on multiple 5-year NASA Civil IDIQ contracts. Drummond Carpenter is an established Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with experience working for NASA in a subconsultant role. Jones Edmunds and Drummond Carpenter offer a strong synergy of the capabilities and services as both are licensed professional civil and environmental engineering consulting companies providing services to federal, state, municipal, public, and private clients.

Jones Edmunds will provide the necessary technical training, development, guidance, and resources to enable Drummond Carpenter to expand their capabilities so that they can successfully perform as a future prime contractor to NASA. Drummond Carpenter is a partner that can provide Jones Edmunds with additional depth in areas such as environmental remediation and green infrastructure design. Chad Drummond, PE, D.WRE, BCEE, Principal with Drummond Carpenter, stated, “We are excited to enhance our relationship with Jones Edmunds and further the opportunity to serve NASA through the Mentor-Protégé Program.”
A virtual signing ceremony was held on April 22, 2021 to formalize our relationship and further highlight this important program. This is one of only seven agreements of this nature for NASA and the only consulting engineering relationship.
